This event entails creating a work of art from up-cycled materials for the purpose of educating people on the swift, an endangered species of bird. Our piece is created from an assembly of McDonalds toys which would have otherwise been discarded thereby further destroying the swift’s environment
Here is our beautiful bird taking flight !
Swifts are emblematic of Walthamstow and the Wetlands. They swoop, wheel and dart through out summer skies enjoying airborne feats of flying insects and spiders. @1000Swifts created by the E17 Art Trail is an initiative by local artists celebrating the significance of the Walthamstow Wetlands in our heritage, our urban ecology and as a part of our natural cultural commons.
